This video teaches you how to use the page editor and the post editor.

The editor for both pages and posts are the same so when you master it on one type of content you’ll have it for both!

  1. Allows you see all your blocks (the things you add to the page like text, images, buttons or layouts)
    1. You can search for a block
    2. Or use the tabs to see your reusable blocks
  2. Undo and Redo Tasks before a page is updated
  3. Enables list view so you can click to select any element on your page to easily group, move or save elements.
  4. Allows you to preview your page in a new tab without saving or publishing the page.
  5. Saves the changes you’ve made on the page. Before a page is published this button will be ‘Publish’.
  6. Shows and hides the page and block settings panel.
  7. Adjusts the view of your editing screen
    1. If stuff is not full color but grayed out you’re in Spotlight mode, click it again and you’ll go back to seeing everything in full color. This mode will help you understand what areas are selected on the page.
    2. If you lost the black navigation bar on the left you’re in ‘Fullscreen mode’ click it again and you’ll go back to the normal mode. Fullscreen mode is ideal if you’re working on a smaller computer screen
    3. Visual editor is key – don’t uncheck this. Things will not make sense.
    4. You can see all of your reusable blocks listed if you click on ‘Manage Reusable Blocks’. From there you can edit the blocks when they’re not inserted into a page. You can also see reusable blocks by clicking the + box (label 1).
  8. Settings Panel – here you can choose to see page settings or the options for a specific block
  9. The link to your page on the public site
  10. Revisions history so you can roll back a page incase you blow it up on accident.
